dc.description.abstractIn this thesis, we have researched how in a kindergarten, staff can create a good and healthy relationship with their children through the use of play. In order to reach this conclusion, we have studied relevant theories about play, relationships and security. We have also chosen to use interviews and observations as our method of research. Four kindergartens have chosen to participate in our project. The empirical data we collect from the numerus kindergartens have helped us to connect our theory to our research. We came to the conclusion that relationships are connected with play and security. Our study of theories from well-known theorists such as Eriksson, Vygotsky and Bowlby have aided us in our understanding of our theories and observations that we have made during our time in the various kindergartens. In conclusion, we found that safety and relationships building in collaboration with a healthy play environment is the first and most important step. Organizing smaller playgroups, acknowledging children's needs and being more present as an adult are some other measures that should be considered to create relationships through play.en_US
