This article analyzes how five Norwegian news media outlets cover Black Lives Matter (BLM) in the United States. Examining media coverage of BLM in other countries allows media scholars to begin to draw comparative conclusions. The analysis shows that in contrast to much of the U.S. news media, Norwegian news media are clearly positively disposed toward BLM, which I suggest may be related to Norway’s political culture, journalistic praxis, and geographical distance.en_US
