dc.description.abstract | This bachelor thesis focuses on the TEACCH-method (Treatment and education of autistic and communication handicapped), which is a method frequently used for children with autism. The bachelor thesis is about finding out how the TEAACH-method can contribute to better communication skills for children with autism. These children have different challenges in their lives. Communication is one of the main challenges. That is why this study focus on how to use this method in the best possible way, and which factors to take into consideration to get the best results by using this method. The method used to solve this problem is a literature method. Findings showed positive effects on general skills of communication, but it was difficult to assess based on certain skills. The study shows that there is a need for more research in this area to assess the positive effects of the TEACCH-method. | nb_NO |
