The purpose of this bachelor assignment is to explore/investigate why Arna district has a higher number of adolescents in secondary school that have used cannabis than the rest of the country. I will start this assignment by describing living conditions in Arna, based on a living condition survey from 2016, and present possible reasons why adolescents may use drugs. I further discuss if there is a link between the living condition and the high level of cannabis use, based on preliminary results from the Public Health Profile 2018, using relevant theory. A tentative conclusion for this assignment is that there seems to be a connection between living conditions and the high level of cannabis use, while cultural factors may also have an impact. I further discuss relevant preventative measures, and conclude that in terms of cannabis use, Arna certainly has potential for improvement.nb_NO
