| dc.description.abstract | Background: Heart attack patients are a growing group of patients in the hospital. Mortality rate of heart attack is high, but mortality has decreased for the last 10 years. This gives a picture of patients who have to live with any concerns that may come after a heart attack.
Question: «How can nurse through information help to ensure that patients experience good quality of life after heart attack?»
Purpose of assignment: Get knowledge and increase understanding, when my interests in heart attack patients are great and I see this as a challenge to work on relationships. In particular, I expanded my understanding of the importance of the information nurses provide to patients in the hospital and how the quality of life is affected after the heart attack.
Method: Thesis is a literature study, as this was the requirement for the bachelor thesis. Literature study has presented me a lot of relevant research in the area. In the thesis I have used several research papers and professional articles all of which have been relevant to the problem. The articles dealt with information in the hospital and the quality of life after hospital discharge.
Results: Studies show that information from the nurse at the hospital, do not have much to say on the quality of life of patients after discharge from hospital. It is what the patient chooses to do after the hospital stay that could be decisive for the quality of life.
Summary: To provide information on the hospital is an important nursing task nurse in the face of a heart attack patient. The information is useful and important for the patient, but the findings have shown that information alone is of low importance for the quality of life after the heart attack. | no_NO |
